Hope
Hope
A dead calm after violent storm,
A silent night gazing through window
Trying to comfort me with all its beauty.
I too wish to embrace her for eternity
To escape the tumult called life,
To get out of constant strife.
Alas I am shackled prisoner
Of my abnormal fear
Of bleak future,
Unable to break the barrier.
Still rope of hope,
I'm holding with bruised hands
Waiting for a new dawn to ascend.
When he appeared on my horizon
With soft hues, a torn page to emblazon.
My eyes wide open,
As a curious kid, I run
To a safer world of love and belonging
After stormy night to a sun-kissed morning...
