Him

Him

2 mins
294

She sits on her floor

In the center of the room with her

Legs crossed

A pen in her hand and a note book in her lap.

Ready to write about whatever comes to her mind

But she's too busy thinking about what makes her feel special and accepted

To even bother coming up with decent writing topics.

Though she already has plenty of material in her head

The thought of him pulls her away from from her initial task at hand

The smiles

The texts

The attitude

The style

Every aspect of him draws her attention.

Every movement gives her butterflies

He's way too perfect for words.

Never once had she ever thought somebody like him would love someone like her.

At times she questions whether or not she is deserving of somebody as good as he is.

He's always reassuring her.

Being of comfort and warmth

They seem to want nothing but the best for each other.

Exchanging smiles and funny stories

But also sharing their greatest fears.

Now she lies alone

Beneath (multiple!) blankets

Cold,

Longing to savor the firey warmth of his skin

To hear the sound of his voice telling her how much she is loved

To feel the soft pressure of his lips on hers.

He is always the first and last thing on her mind each day.

She worries continuously,

He thoughts running down the list of things they both would hate to happen

“What if they leave me?”

“What if I lose them?”

“What if they don't really love me?”

She wants to tell him everything

To pour her heart out and sing everything she feels

She thanks him for always being there

For being sometimes slightly stubborn

For helping her see things with a fresh set of eyes.

For his assistance taping her back together whenever she fell apart

She wants him to know what he is beyond good enough.

That he is beyond perfect and

That she's there for him always.

No matter what happens.

She has put her words together below

“I’m never leaving you

There is nothing I wouldn't do for you

And I am waiting for the day I get to hold your hands, kiss your lips

and say ‘I do.’ ”
