Highway

I still cannot forget the day when I and my boyfriend met with an accident on a highway,

I still cannot forget the bitter memories which we both had encountered on that day.

Some people say that there are numerous stories revolving around the highways,

While some people say that there are numerous untold stories hidden in the highways.

I know they are not wrong,

I know they are correct because I have experienced it myself on that particular day.

I and my boyfriend went for a long drive on that day. 

I and my boyfriend wanted to spend some quality time with each other

Since we were busy with our works till the previous day.

Everything was going well, The music was on, the roads were empty, the breeze was cold

And we were holding each other's hand when suddenly our car bumped into someone.

As soon as our car bumped into someone there was an eerie sound all around, 

Followed by someone who yelled, "Please Help me out".

Hearing this we panicked and screamed our lungs out,

Hearing this we panicked and looked around!

We were shocked,

 We were frozen,

Moreover, we were helpless as there were not a single person around.

We realized we were in great trouble,

We realised something was wrong. 

Few minutes later we somehow gathered our strength

And came outside the car to check what happened around.

We saw a lady lying on the road,

She was carrying a storybook on her hand,

And was yelling in desperation " Please help me out".

      After seeing this Sight,

We somehow plucked up our courage and approached her.

We asked her how can we help her out,

To which she replied, "Please follow me and save the life of my 3 months old daughter from the impending danger".

We followed this young lady until we reached a spot where we saw a small girl crying her eyes out.

She was found inside a broken car,

It seemed as if the car had an accident as there was blood all over the car.

As we got inside the car we took the child out of the car.

At the time point of time, we were happy because we were able to save her life from the impending danger. 

Moreover, there was a Smile on our dead face.

But the situation became ugly when we turned around to the lady to hand over her child. 

What we saw next was Unexplainable!

The lady who brought us to the spot had vanished!

We looked here and there,

We tried to call her as well,

But she was nowhere to be found.

Suddenly when our eyes fell into that car we realised there was another body which was lying in the car.

As soon as we opened the rear door of the car we saw something that our eyes was not ready to believe.

It was that same lady, wearing the same set of clothes, 

Carrying that same storybook of her child.

She was all the same except for the fact that she was no longer alive on this earth. 

She was dead long ago.

And what we saw in front of our eyes was nothing but her dead body lying inside the broken car.

Soon we realised it was nothing but her Spirit who came to us to rescue her child from the car accident.

 Later on, we called the police, informed her family members about the tragedy and went back to our home.

Till date, we have goosebumps when we think about this incident,

Till date, we still have nightmares when we think about this Highway trip.
