Yes, He is a Guy & I am a Girl,

He heads straight and I have to curl.

Right from childhood it has been told,

I have to be kind but he can be bold.

No parents will have an intention bad,

But it's the society which makes me feel sad.

No matter what, his parties can end late,

And if I do so, I have to face a doomed fate.

As a girl, I have to learn the household chores,

Why would he learn, he is a boy of-course.

Why people have to tell me what to wear,

Instead tell the boys not to stare.

Behind every successful man, is a woman,

But alas, a handful men, for a successful woman.

It's high time now, all said & done,

Rather why should boys have all the fun.

We need a man to support in our greivances,

Who can make us bold & grab all the chances.

I am a graduate and empowered too,

Since with a supportive family I grew.

I do my bit for my family, same as a guy does,

That makes me feel happy and so I buzz.

So open your wings and high you fly,

Be independent, valiant and reach for the sky.
