Forbidden

My heart doth sing of passion so true, our love is forbidden, a love that burns bright, yet cannot shine through.

 Our hearts entwined in secret, we must confine, why is it so hard to ask you to be mine?

In whispers, we steal moments to share, we dare not speak of our love so pure,

Tormented by societal care, lest we face scorn and endure. 

Through mountains and seas wide, I'll cherish every stolen kiss, my love for you will never subside.

Dreams of day when we can blissfully exist, against society we must persist. 

But until then, let us keep our flame, for our love, through strong and true, hidden from prying eyes and wicked fame.
