For All The Beloved Hours

For every ecstatic instant

Underneath the blanket of delight;

All the hills and the valleys in your eyes

Streaming amber pain, flirting with the skies;

Descending nights, brewing smiles;

Spells for the dusky constellations of my feelings espied;

Delirious tripping in the barefoot dances,

Overlooking all my might;

Drunken faith and tipsy fights;

Distances that haunted me so,

I had to witness grace depart from my satin mind;

The captive limitlessness of time

Whilst they would all say, 'It's just fine!';

The disregards and gales and aisles of spice;

Seeking solace all around 

That I could behold merely within your arms insight;

The 'Something Gold' I could never summarize

For all the beloved hours

And the endless disagreements, 

There are decades of love still to find!
