First Time

First Time

When I stepped into this world,

How much happiness did it bring to my family?

When I utter the first word,

How happy was family?

When I took my first step,

How surprisingly did they react?

When I did the first mistake of my life

How Calmly did they explain me?

When I went to school for the first time,

How worried they were?

When I was beaten for the first time,

How much pain they had to go through?

When I ride the cycle for the first time,

How scared they were?

When I lied to them for the first time,

How much it hurt them?

When I took my first step into the in-law's house,

How much they cried?

When I got pregnant for the first time,

How much elated they were?

When my body lies in the coffin for the first time

Now, none of them was there to cry for me, worry for me, take care of me,

But, those blessings of theirs (family) were always with me.
