First Love

First Love

It visited enthusiastically But left silently. It taught 'care for the other before self', Putting aside your own life's book on a shelf. It sketched me colorfully But brushed aside the shades of black & white awfully. It broadened my smile, And then it paused for a while! It paused and again paused causing a turmoil, By then I had by all means forgotten how to pile, Pile the smile, The genuine smile which I had across my face When my mirror praised my grace! "Dear first love" was beaten brutally by "Dear real life", It was on a mode 'repeat', I was on a mode 'try to defeat', But, the first love was cruel indeed! I, me and I was lost, First love demanded a heavy cost.
