Fear

Fear was seeping deep into my pores

Fear for what?

I really don't know,

I could feel my palms sweating,

Heart beat getting erratic,

Butterflies floating in my tummy

For the reason unknown to me.

I looked around myself

Hoping someone would come to my aid.

But everyone busy in their own little world,

Where they only cared about themselves

It made me stop and ponder for a while,

What have we become and where are we going;

Life was never like this-

So selfish and mean,

We use to feel happy

Helping a person in Plight.

How the clock has turned

Now we find our smiles looking at someone

With tears running from their eyes.
