If nature fights mankind

That night, was I all alone,
Sitting on my couch, humming a tone;
When I heard that distant sound,
Peeping through the window, what I found
The dreaded sight made my heart pound.
A fierce disaster hit the earth,
Leaving no place by,
And by the time it was realized,
All the trees were gone
People dying and fainting, was what I saw,
A vulture's cry and a crow's caw
The last thing I heard was a scream
Only to realize it was all a dream
That sorrowful sight without glee
Still lingers within my soul and me,
And the value of a single tree,
Every person should now see,
Or that night may come true
