Fear on Stage
Fear on Stage
Standing on the stage,
Heart pounding, palms sweating,
The fear grips me tight,
My mind already forgetting.
The audience stares,
Their eyes like laser beams,
My voice cracks and shakes,
A nightmare beyond my dreams.
I try to speak,
But the words won't come out,
My throat closes up,
And I want to shout.
The fear is paralyzing,
A monster I can't fight,
My confidence shattered,
In this harsh and blinding light.
But deep inside, I know,
That fear is just a friend,
A reminder to be humble,
And to keep striving till the end.
So I take a deep breath,
And step out of my shell,
Embracing the fear,
And trusting myself to excel.
With every word and gesture,
I feel myself come alive,
And soon the fear fades,
As I soar and thrive.
For on the stage of life,
Fear is just a test,
A challenge to overcome,
And to become our best.
