Fatherly Mirage

Fatherly Mirage

He would have towed me

On his shoulder

And never the ground

He wouldn't have let me be in patience

Or be dying for a doctorly crowned

He would have gave me pasta or bread

And never bestowed on me any life's dread

I would play basketball

He would've been my teacher

Even if he knew nothing at all

He would've taught me to beat words

I would be the center

I would be a part of his world

I would glorify each food item,

He would entertain each pearl

He could have been

But he choose not to be

But I love this illusion

An illusion of a father supporting me.

Better than  the resentment

Better than all negative theory

Better than any relationship wonder

Or that cinematic life's dowry

I would rather be happy with this illusion

That my father was the best

Than give myself to worry.

And burn in hurt for others fest
