Like every other girl of my age,

I too dreamt a Disney love story!

A Knight in a shiny armour

To sweep me off my feet.

A charismatic hero

Who would claim his rights on me!

Fact-o-matter,

Love stories look good in books alone

Not all our fancy dreams

Come true from heavens!

For every odd girl, there isn't a prince

Some love stories, are just as normal

As yours and mine!

Ours might not be a typical Hindi movie

Neither a saga out from a fairy tale!

With no inspiration from Mills and Boons

Nor any reference to Yash Raj plays!

Nevertheless, our love is one of a kind

Far more prettier than a random flick!

You didn't come riding on a horse

But your 'CBZ' was nothing less!

I wasn't adorning a princess crown

But your eyes were fixed for sure on me!

True, there weren't any lightnings overhead

Nor did the violins tuned in for us

But I could hear birds chirping

And the sky smiling at us with love!

You weren't known as a King then

But you did treat me like a Queen!

You did every right thing

To shrug off the tall dark handsome myth

To make me fall for you time again!

Though we started off

In the most not so romantic way

But our love blossomed

Like a love-dale one in itself!
