Eloquent Silence

I was not sad but felt completely empty

I had no words to speak

I wanted someone to release

the muteness in my voice

the storms in my eyes

that heaviness which my heart

was burdened with ……

I looked around with tumult eyes

Hoping that might give a hint

What and how I was feeling

at that wink

I was certain my silence

would give me the answers

I needed to hear ‘cause

My heart was not beyond repair.
