Mother To A Son

How I sometimes feel

That you had not grown

So big and strong

Wish you had remained still small

As I close my eyes

I see you as a small boy

Who pestered me to buy

A chocolate or a toy

Making days squealing in delight

And nights full of treat

Together we saw many

Springs and autumns

Which were priceless

And those days were

Undoubtedly dateless

Life moved on with you

Walking beside me

And as per God ’s plan

You grew from a boy

To a strong man

I’m proud of you

I’ll love you 

Till my days are undone

And I’ll always thank my God

For you are my son.
