Look at how they lie

Their face so bright, it shines under every light 

The smile that holds no hidden secret 

From under the mask that they cherish

No laugh is just an act 

Pain is a thing they see as undesirable 

Congrats! To them in the back, who have stuck with it for so ___

'It's just a stage, is it not? ' They think 

All rise in applause 

The final act is almost upon us;

and everyone wonders around 'How could this ever have happened ' 

Curtains close and no one talks, the orchestra crescendo ; 

One leap and the next. 

They smile, even after the bitter end
