Dream Big

Most people dream of fancy cars

Or private jets, high paying jobs

The one raise they'd always wanted 

Or marrying the love of their life

Everyone wants to reach for the stars

Dream big, they say

Even when you are asleep

But I do not dream big

I do not see beautiful mansions

Or have sex with my celebrity crush

I don't rule the world or soar the skies

Or get lost in the sea

All I see

In the comfort of my bed

Is a cup of coffee and my best friend's laugh

A gentle caress, and his pretty eyes

Two crescent moons, staring into mine 

A conversation, with somebody I love

Who loves somebody else

Everyone sees what they want most 

Or what they fear

Everyone dreams of what they can't have

So do I
