Did Holi Change?

There we all burnt the wicked 'Holika' in a pyre,

Death of the evil and victory of good in a fire 

Colours to celebrate this win over the bad, 

Sprinkled colours of green, blue, yellow and red

The earth turned colourful with the celebration of Holi, 

And every colour has meaning and it seems so holy

Red is the colour of Love and fertility, 

The colour yellow being growth and prosperity 

The skin tone of Lord is by Blue so serene,

and new beginnings are represented by Green

Is this all still the same or we have all changed,

With all the differences we all are now chained

Cause sometimes we see colours representing religion,

Red and Green, showing differences in caste and region

Yellow and Blue are no longer serene and pure, 

Blue is dark night, and yellow is a metal, which everyone lure

Why is there such a change, people are not caring, 

Holi is becoming just a tradition of scaring 

People are not coming closer, don't know why they are afraid, 

Do they realise? Holi is still the festival of Green, Blue, Yellow and Red.
