Desire for the best

The soft breeze of the wind neglected to swaddle me in its lap.

The delicate crystals of drizzle no longer amused me in their rhythms.

The harmony of twittering birds didn't excite me either.

Confectionaries no longer tasted sweet at all.

Love no longer exhibited understanding.

Humanity no longer emphasized empathy.

Success is no longer merit-based.

Failure is no longer a lesson.

Experience is no longer acquaints me well.

The entire world has lost its individuality in such a way that all I do is give out a deep sigh. 

My eyes, no longer exhibit enthusiasm and devotion towards life. 

I am tired of pretending like it's ok. 

I don't know what I am engraving  but, my mind simply yearns to pour my heart out on this paper.

I am tired of pretending to belong to society. 

I am tired of lying about things that do not define me. 

But, how can I be at fault when the earth itself lies to be alright. 

This is the reflection of a confused youth.

There are millions of paths in front of me.

There are millions of expectations in front of me.

There are millions of everything which has made me lose my identity.

Now, I am running away from reality to save my individuality.

After all, this is how every human on earth is.

They have no idea about their purpose and survival.

All they want is to fit in and tend to lose the human in them.

But, let us desire for the best.
