Delusions
Delusions
And the world's so bright
When I'm out walking,
This city paints a picture too mesmerising
Bright faces, haughty paces, happy talking.
And the week-day slaves shine in malls,
Like stars, shimmering in the night sky.
But back in my room at 12',
There's no moon no star, not a single firefly.
And these never-ending glistening posts,
Show only smiles, good-looks, glam and vibe.
These memes and slang, smokes and beer,
Is this all that is, for the modern tribe?
Here comes a contract labeled 9-to-5
"Hey! Why don't you sign-for-life."
And live in your own delusions,
Fuck change and revolutions.
