Confession of a Beast
Confession of a Beast
It was thundering with rain splattering,
With flood alert across the city,
I got a promotion.
When you were crying on the bed,
And held my fingers.
I wanted to be a child, with you.
And did become one.
You gave me hope and
meaning in our life.
The sleepless night, as a pacifying entertainer, showed the
obligation towards my love.
Day and night we worked
letting you in the hands of strangers.
We are sorry for the pains
we delivered.
We labored, to chisel the wings to launch you in a competitive world.
We are sorry for the time,
we couldn't spend it with you.
We bought the gadgets and novelties.
We gave you the education and confidence.
In all our scramble, we forgot the child buried within you in loneliness.
We are sorry for not finding time
to express love.
The haunted nights,
Unattended calls,
Negative vibes of news,
with kids missing.
Awakened the teen parents within us.
We are sorry for shouting at you,
while you survived with gadgets
and made late-night trips.
We raised you like a lioness,
but even a lion can be trapped,
by wolves and evil cupids.
The harsh words and secret
touch on your heads after sleep
are the manipulations that you
shouldn't misuse your freedom.
We are sorry, for the emotional torture given to you.
With you belonging to someone else
with a tag of a relationship, I need to let your finger with tears in my eyes.
You remain, my child.
You are grown up for the world,
But not for me.
The days,
the fight,
the affection,
the noisy music,
Scorching mobile bills,
will be missed and
resides in memories.
The technology may unite us,
but our bonds are beyond it.
Do remember your friend,
the father, don't take
revenge for my blunder.
A humble sorry,
for my wonderful daughter.
