Child Labour
Child Labour
With resplendent eyes
An innocent face with hopeful smile,
I have many colorful dreams,
Making me beam,
Enjoying joyous moments, with my parents,
But unfortunately, betrayed by destiny,
In this cruel world,
From my mothers arms as I unfurled,
My tiny hands soft & tender,
Have become coarse with bruises all over,
As an innocent child, I wanted to fly kites,
But I am impelled to do chores,
Education is my fundamental right, I realized
From which I was deprived,
Like others I too wanted to study,
But toiling around my attire turned muddy,
As a cute little boy, I never could play with a toy,
Instead of being cuddled, By People I am rebuked,
I see my friends relishing ice-creams,
With teary eyes, and shattered dreams,
Gazing at the sky, I cry cursing
My destiny, has left me famishing,
How unfortunate it is,
The innocence of childhood is a bliss,
I have lost the those moments of innocence,,
To strive in this world for my existence .
