Cats and Mice
Cats and Mice
I play the game of hide and seek,
I hide for too long,
You never seek,
Our names appear on the front page,
It says: reward if found.
The glass on my foot hurts,
I miss your laughter bubbling out of this world,
Reaching to tear my heart,
You left me on the highway.
I feel the game of cats and mice,
A warm bed right about now would be nice,
Pieces of me pinch my insides,
Am I still alive?
Sometimes it's a mystery.
I chase after the darkness,
They chase after me,
I hide in holes,
They block the entry.
Cats don't hate mice,
Not like I hate you,
They are playing a game,
The same I was to you.
