Calls To Me
Calls To Me
Everything reminds me,
Of the place a thousand miles away,
Of the place, I've seen since the very start,
Of the place, I know by heart.
The window of my mind takes me there,
The door of my heart opens up,
The eyes of my soul just stare.
The city's lonely trees,
The flowing warm breeze,
The empty dark streets-
Reminds me, reminds me,
Of the river stray,
The rising sun on the face of the day.
The young green fields,
House-made up of hay,
Under the open blue sky,
Inside which the shapeless clouds lie.
The tiny bellflower- ringing her knell,
Near the warm pool, the sunbird yells.
The hidden lakes in the forest laps,
Calls to me,
Calls to me,
The endless waterfalls,
The open sky,
Calls to me,
The green fields call to me,
The dying river calls to me,
The setting sun calls to me,
Empty roads, concrete paths, bright city lights are all I see,
Yet everything reminds,
Reminds me of the place thousand miles away,
Of the place, I've seen since the very start,
Of the place, I've known by heart.
