Caged Bird
Caged Bird
I feel like a caged bird,
Finding my shadows to shine,
Lost in this vague world,
Trying to be it a part,
I feel like a caged bird,
Drowning in fears of flight,
Trying to take a leap of hope,
Fixing my broken wings,
I feel like a caged bird,
Trapped in its own world,
Overruled by joy it seeks,
Facing my demon it speaks,
I feel like a caged bird,
Mocking my plights of forlorn nights,
So now I believe to let it go,
The shredded pieces of my humanity I hold,
So now, I feel like a caged bird,
Singing to the tune of silence,
Dreaming of lights in darkness,
So, is it too hard to hold still?
When my saneness fades away,
I guess I found my peace,
In my slumber I see,
I feel like a caged bird,
Finding my shadows to shine,
Drowning in fears of flight,
I feel like a caged bird,
Whose all broken up.
