Caged Bird

And now

There comes this calling,

Which calls me darling,

For 3 decades I wandered in wilderness of life,

Only to find nothing.

It's about time to load off from this ship of life's ocean,

About time to start sailing in these dry deserts of passion,

Just started and too far from the destination,

Yet enjoying this beautiful journey's each station.

My pen my friend,

You are a crutch to my crippled thoughts,

Not letting them bumble upon the rough spots.

And now I am,

Feeding myself on these emotions which once starved me,

Once a caged bird, has now set itself free!
