The breath stifles,

The skin sears,

The dreams disappear,

The hopes crumble,

The spirit shatters

When

In the light of day, darkness guides,

Warm lips, part cold smiles,

Mirthful eyes, hide bruised dreams,

When vibrant words, masquerade agonizing screams,

Beautiful dreams, maim your present,

Time flies by, the scarring moment stands still

When

The lacerated soul weeps inside a breathing carcass,

You take a breath again, to feel the intangible affliction, again.
