Broken Mirror
Broken Mirror
Misunderstandings, like ships in the night
Passing each other, out of sight
Their paths diverge, never to meet
Leaving behind a sense of defeat
They're like tangled vines in a thicket
Twisted and turned, they never click it
The more we try to make them right
The more they tangle in their spite
Misunderstandings, like a broken mirror
Shattered pieces, that we hold dearer
Reflecting fragments of truth and lies
Making it hard to see eye to eye
Like a shadow cast by the sun
Misunderstandings, we can't outrun
They follow us, in every way
Tainting our thoughts, day by day
But like a bird that breaks free
Misunderstandings, can be set free
By speaking up and listening well
We can break the spell, and bid farewell.
