Blackout

Silent, above the billowing clouds, observing earth's domain; 

My spirit descends, seeking solace upon earthly terrain. 

A glimmering path, like a candle's flickering flame, I leave behind; 

When skies dim and clouds scatter, my soul ascends, anew defined.

My light, once radiant, will slowly wane and disappear, Till darkness engulfs me, erasing all I once held dear.
