Let It Go

At times you get hurt just to let others stay,

And most times gets broken just to let them prey,

You don't have to keep your wounds open,

Let go of what they have already stolen.

It's never easy holding onto a slippery hand,

It could hurt a lot when you don't understand,

At times you are the only person you need,

Others are only a means to unsure that you bleed.

Life is a party, where every one comes by choice,

Also like a night where you can only identify by voice,

So listen to those speaking "don't let me go"

Those are the true friends you'd ever know.

All my life I've been laying on my chest with my hands outstretched,

Hoping to lay grip on those I knew, loved while they watched me looking wretched,

Life is like a movie, the actors are nothing but mere casts,

And like a story, you can only enjoy it while it lasts.

So let go of the hurts and hold onto yourself.
