Abstract Tragedy Others

Best Friend

Best Friend

A girl who was born,

When it was dawn,

Grew up to face the night:

Colder than ice,

Sharper than the teeth of mice, was the night.

She started her fight, mustering all her might, when she was eight.

She went to school,

To be made a fool.

There were enemies better than the friends she had.

She was summoned as a mad, who had never had a moment not sad.

It was the noon of her life,

When she had a knife,

She thought and thought, what to do?

Should she finish her least faithful friend: Life?

But she didn't, for she was strong.

Strong she was from outside,

But from inside?

She was a broken, battered, shattered, and whatever synonyms you can think of broken.

Of her life, it was night,

When she considered, for a moment or two,

Should she end the fight?

The thought came to her mind,

Fully formed and well designed.

Silently she did walk up the stairs to her best friend's room, which she thought to visit but never visited.

She talked to her and felt free, from the stress, anxiety and so on.

She consulted her best ever friend about the end of the fight.

Her friend went out of sight,

Then came back with a large silk cloth,

Enquired the girl, "What should I do with this?"

Answered her friend quiet promptly, "Shine your knife, if you please."

The girl went on,

Did as per her friend to her had told.

Her friend helped her to end the fight.

And after that the vicinity went quiet.

She lost the fight she fought,

But a priceless prize she had,

From the least faithful friend she got:

Her best ever friend.

Her best Friend was:

Death.
