Being a Daughter's dad

Being a dad to a daughter is absolutely wonderful. With her being around, life is fruitful and blissful.

I might get exhausted, tired, and stressed with the mundane life. But seeing her at the door, eagerly waiting for me every evening, sums up my life!

Her cute toys, her set of friends and her own small world, where she lives in. Her craving for me to hear, be a part of, and live in her world is what makes me give in!

Her want of a 'newly invented tiffin box' and the melodrama behind the same, And her constant reminders over the phone because she knows her issues to me are too lame!

Her schedules are tighter than mine, and her friends are closer to her than mine. But she still manages to take out time for me, just to ensure that I have had my food and am fine. 

She's no longer innocent, but a smart, independent girl. And without her so-called intellectual verses, my home would seem to be dull.

 She is growing up, too fast, too soon and not as per my plan. But seeing her evolve everyday makes my dad feel, not me, 'she is the one for his clan.'

Her play time now means putting on her sport shoes to play cricket and football. While the big boys admire her sport skills, I wonder what's with that sad face of her doll.

Her long conversations with everyone and anyone over the phone makes me wonder in astonishment. She being glued on YouTube on my phone is nothing else but a punishment.

 She makes me play the weirdest of games, inspite of me revolting. But now I know her plan, she wants me to be with her, relaxing and evolving.

 She hugs me whenever I am down and out. And I ensure I pretend not be ok daily, weil her hugs heal me inside and out.

 Yes, she irritates me with her unnecessary drama and crocodile tears. Her long sad face with creepy angry looks makes me hear her out with all my ears!

 Her toys are my biggest enemies, as they occupy most of the bed. I would rather sleep on the couch, against making a fight instead!

 She would not want that either, as she prefers kicking me while sleeping. Be rest assured, I am at peace and not at all cribbing.

 She wants me to hug her every morning when she is awake. Someone tell her, her dad is making a ppt in the office when she wakes her, for heaven's sake.

She is stepping into her Mother's shoes(literally) at the tender age of eight. While that might be bothering her mother, for me she is my best mate.

Taking pride in everything she does might not be right. But to see her put her best efforts in everything is such a pleasing sight.

 Said that, she makes my life likeable, livable, and worth existing. Being a daughter's dad is nothing short of HIS biggest blessing!

To all the daughter's dads out there. We know how blessed we feel for SHE is full of love and care. With her being around, nothing seems to go wrong. She just makes life so simple, with her innocence and love all around and everywhere!
