You left even before you saw me coming,

Trevors and tears in the room.

I saw those floors and the doors,

Painted with hints of your last tea.

Almost transparent, with a shade of blue,

Maybe that's how beautiful souls look.

Saw just how quickly the time flew,

With the pages of your book.

Saw you leaving your body,

And your soul touched mine for the last time.

Your girl has grown into a beautiful lady,

I knew she was your prime.

I smiled as you went back home to share,

To God, to the one you had been wishing for me.
