What is art?

Is it the pursuit of something that can never be attained?

Or is it a chase?

A chase for something better

Or everything same

Art is an expression

Or maybe a choice

It is a sadness

Or something to rejoice

I long to understand it

in its every undecipherable sense

When it appeals to me

Or even when it doesn't

Maybe art is salvation

Or maybe it is an escape

Maybe it is my happy place

Or something that I dread

Art.

It scares.

It protects.

It leads.
