Angel Hope

Angel Hope

Just when I was about to give up,

I met Angel Hope on the way.

She saw my tired eyes and smiled

And told me she was here to stay.

We both came back home hovering

On the bicycle, she had brought.

I held her and its wings took off...

Without a chance of us being caught.

My real mother was wailing.

I had come home late.

She had told the watchman to

Close our compound gate.

Little did she know that we had

flown. I quickly freshened up

and snuggled into bed, Else,

our secret would have blown!

Angel hope slept next to me.

She did not need much space.

She stroked my forehead with

love, and a comforting pace.

That day on she stayed with me

Till the day I smiled again. It's true,

not all can see you through life,

but, Angel Hope healed my pain!
