And The Story Goes On...

And The Story Goes On...

1 min 460 1 min 460

Whenever I met an ending in my life

In the form of an unexpected death

In the form of a failed relationship

In the form of a discouraged dream

I would drown myself in misery

Like a shipwreck that cannot be pulled out

Like a pirate treasure that cannot be discovered..

After I started writing stories

After I started gifting endings to my characters

After I learnt to let go of my fictional friends

I understood that every end births a beginning

Every resolution of a character arc

Is a rebirth of the character in the dark

Every "...happily ever after" is simply a "So, here after..."

Don't we truly understand the value of a person

After he leaves this world?

Don't we truly understand the love of a person

After she leaves a relationship?

Don't we truly understand the power to pursue one's passion

After it leaves the heart?

How do these then become endings?

Aren't these new beginnings in a 'wiser' us?

After all, creating new memories

Isn't the only way to a happy life..

Learning to look at old memories in a new light

Is also a step towards joy..
