An Open Letter To Kieślowski
An Open Letter To Kieślowski
Long back, I had left my home town.
I came to a new city.
I struggled to get settled.
I scored bad in examinations.
But I kept on watching cinema
In cheap theatres.
Then I read about cinema.
I had adda with people.
Then I joined a film school
Without any guidance
Like a directionless hungry bird.
I watched films in the festival of new city.
I watched many films at my film school too.
Then I started another phase of writings.
I wrote a script.
Peers liked it.
I wrote it because my
Subconscious told me to write.
I kept on writing henceforth.
My peers introduced you to me.
My subconscious told me to write like your films.
So, I wrote and prepared myself.
Then one fine morning I discovered
That my works are almost like yours.
But different since I belong to a different culture.
Your works hit my subconscious.
But I cannot dedicate my works to you
Since my life is intertwined with my writings!
It's like yours, but different.
Thanking you
