An Ode To A Forgotten Era
An Ode To A Forgotten Era
Alone, I lie under the moonless night
With no arms, no body, no no face to see,
Not even the curtain of star's delight
Can care to have this dull evening with me.
Maybe I was made to be on my own,
created to share my footsteps with none.
A queenless king in a lonesome high throne,
Fading without a tear from anyone.
Dusted off Earth's powdered crumbs on my skin,
I stood, looked up, listened as my soul sings
As the blushed twilight made the darkness thin,
I inhaled the scent of hope that a new day brings.
"One's a whole number." I said to myself,
Someday I will have the love I deserve.
