Dear diary,

(Author's note: the first letter in every line spells out a word when read downwards. the beauty of the poetry lies in the fact that it's one sentence, broken up in the kind of way that allows it to give two messages instead of one: the word, and the sentences. for ease of reading, the first letter in each line has been separated.)

Q uiet. The streets are

U tterly quiet. Not

A single soul in sight. It's crazy,

R eally, how

A virus could stop the whole world on its axis.

N ow everyone sits at home, sits

T ight behind closed doors, to avoid

I nfection. We'll get through this, there's

N o doubt about it.
