Alter Ego.
Alter Ego.
I walked down the alley,
In anticipation of receiving some rugged mock,
The routine of every single high school morning,
I looked down, my pace was swifter,
This heart breathed faster,
I just to be invisible,
But then, something uncanny occurred,
She walked beside me,
Taller, darker, more confident,
She was me. I was her,
She snappy and sassy,
I, I was a bit too ignorant,
Her presence be filled me with poise,
Engraved confidence in this soul of mine.
She was known as my "alter ego" in the society,
But for me, she was perhaps a better version of this honor roll kid...
