All about Uttarayan

Early morning I went to the terrace,

With kites and thread and excitement and grace.

It was early morning but still I was late,

The scenario of this colourful sky looked so great.

Sunglasses protecting eyes and a hat on the head,

Which prevents the face from getting bright red.

Speakers were loud and horns were blowed everywhere,

Everyone's filled with pride - to touch our kite no one can dare.

Since the childhood I have been listening,

That everything has a lesson for teaching.

And so is the function of kites,

Where some are sinking and others taking flight.

Its just like the life of competing youth,

That looks weird but it's ultimate truth.

Sometimes the results and grades touch the sky,

But sometimes it's unexpected where we experience falling from high.

I am inspired from the kites which are stable and keep flying high,

And so I will study, work hard and will become apple of everyone's eye.
