Ablaze
Ablaze
Wandering barefoot around the street
The torn old dress which isn't neat
Cradling my kid with one arm
Protecting him from any harm
Holding the empty bowl in need
Waiting for someone to help me feed
Showing the bowl to the vehicle owner
Even though they view me as a moaner
Thriving, starving, and begging in pain
Empty stomach without gain
Stomach burning with hunger
Under the lightening sky with thunder
Collecting the food leftovers on the pavement
With utter distress and lament
This is an unspoken sphere
Unnoticed and hidden here
Employment doesn't guarantee a regular wage
My heart and mind, midst the rage
Enervated ones are forced into silence
With the greed of self complacence
The distinction that's vividly in a daze
No one cares on this land, filled with ablaze
Being in this desolate world of hunger and deprivation
I beg for unscathed life staring the Orion
