A Sonnet: My Debut Book
A Sonnet: My Debut Book
Donned on a simple boring outfit,
I climbed up, the wide wooden stage;
As the audience murmured in eager hope;
Restless to listen my colloquial tone.
Reciting gratitude springing from my soul,
My poem overflowed at a soulful pace.
The last phrase finished as applause begot,
As the principal neared with a joyful cheer.
My first ever anthology just breathed its life,
As my dad received it with graceful pride.
Though moments can fade in great multitude;
The shawl adorned just honored my fate.
It all sprung up for my love for poesy,
Thus I pen spellbound, My cherished memory.
