My Childhood Album

My Childhood Album

Seated alone in the middle of the hall;

My family had all gone to the nearby mall.

So anxiously searching in a way so random,

I sighted the dusty state of my childhood album.

I flipped the pages left and right,

Under the table lamp glowing so bright.

Nostalgic moments just flew across my face;

Gleaming memories so beautiful to trace.

Stuck by the photos of my naughty mischief;

And calm like a storm with a sigh of relief,

My poses were funny in the very true feel,

My scars of adolescence were ready to heal.

The photos cut in the most ancient norms,

My family posed in their prettiest forms.

Since the toys in my hands looked like damaged pieces;

I’m still like a mechanic though childhood ceases.

Stained photos just cleansing my soul;

Tears crawled down my cheeks with no control.

Gazing the images were a complete bliss;

As I tried to identify who’s innocent face it is.

Echoes sounded on the very last page;

That I’m trapped inside adulthood in a daring cage.

I aspire for infancy that the 90s can tell,

Casting my soul through this very time travel.
