A Rainy Day
A Rainy Day

There was evening today,
From the dawn itself.
Grey pall above me,
Silver sparks all day.
Gale on the earth competing with rush
Of the people and farmers.
Breeze giving flowery touch,
Nature's love for progeny's mush.
In the evening, halted rains glop.
Standing in the front yard, starred at
Potholes and grass.
Upon which laid diamond drops.
Within a short span,
A beam of sunshine descended
On my half face.
Shut eyes felt new warmth and message-
Grey pall in transient life, not too long
Wait with hard work's hope for new sunshine.
