A New Beginning

Everyone stares in a stupor

While we hear what they say

He tells the flabbergasted audience

We're gonna start all new today

Oh! This is just what we need

A new beginning - cool to breed

A pin-drop silence makes us heed

To pull out the weed and plant the seed

God created this universe

Just because the previous was worse

And now we'll basically rehearse 

Building it verse by verse

Get ready your paper and pen

We're planting a grain

And guaranteed not in vain

The rectilinear propagation of light

States light always travels straight

Using all our might

We'll demolish anything in our way

The foundation we must lay

The world watching is in array

Banish the clouds that are gray

Bring out the sun that's gay

The year of suffering has ended

A deadly virus has bended

The Almighty's hand has been lent

Sadness and fear have a dent

Like a boom of the Big Bang

A loud yell rang

An ecstatic song we sang

Avoiding the shark's fang

Victory lies in front of us

Nothing to take us there

You can't ride a public bus

Nor an extremely fast elevator

What a new beginning 

Once in a trillion lifetimes

We can't change destiny though
