A Crisis of Poetic (in)Competence

I can’t write poems any more -

I seem to have lost the knack for - certain.

I used to write well-written verse

But now I’ve gone from bad to - crap.

Whereas I once could - every time -

find a word to fit the same ending-sound pattern,

now, whene’er I write, I’m always stuck

and think I’m useless. What the - best course of action is

I’ve no idea. But as far as writing poetry goes?

No way! No more

From now on, I’ll stick to prose.
