A Childhood Love
A Childhood Love

Remember? How you played the role of my wife,
Sitting on the lawn, adding a sweetener to this life
Playing with those silly cup plates,
Sharing our chocolates
How good were those days...
Grew up to thirteen
Still pretending to be the king and you to be my queen
From going to school together
To sharing our tiffin
Friendship grew stronger and love between us was winning
Fast forward to twenty,
Love between us grew plenty
Under the starry sky, holding each other's hands
Counting the sta
rs in a far away land
While I slept on her laps
All those memories, I can easily recap
Hundreds of fights, thousands of arguments
Seemed to break us apart instead they tied us hard
Late in the 80's now, am still sleeping on her laps
Under a starry sky, My fingers locking with her's, Her fingers tangling my hairs
We have come so far crossing so many time bars
Obstacles and problems were there and some were too hard
Yet everything felt easy as you walked by my side
Kissing my forehead, there's no feelings to hide
