A Bride In A Wheelchair

Beauty isn’t everything, People don’t see the inner shell that helps create you,

People may tell you that you can’t get married because you are in a wheelchair and you can’t walk down the aisle,

But someone might see something in you that nobody else sees.

Someone might like you because you have the heart to help others,

Someone might want to marry you because you love to read,

Someone might want to marry you because you are an animal lover,

Sure your husband-to-be will have responsibilities that most people don’t have to deal with,

But it’s the obstacles in the journey to come that really matter,

I’ll write you a poem to tell you how much I love you,

I can’t imagine that there wouldn’t be a dry eye in the house when daddy gives me away,

He still sees me as a little girl,

But until that day comes.
