Year Ends With Happiness.

Mimi was a journalist and she was invited by a magazine group for a press meet. The year was ending and Mimi looked once again at the Calendar in the shape of a clock, staring at her. She was lost in her thoughts when Mr Royson announced her name as winner under the nomination, "Hardworking Journo"

Mimi felt she was dreaming. She pinched herself and slowly rose from the chair and walked towards the stage.

" Mimi, your year ends on a pleasant note." Mr Royson handed over a certificate and a trophy to her.

Mimi was asked to speak a few words...

2019 was not welcomed with a pleasant smile by me. I had already lost my job in 2016. I did not have any interest to take a job and I was freelancing. I began writing novels on Facebook. The best moment of the year was when my favourite Bollywood star Ronit Roy followed me. I always made stories taking inspiration from him. My protagonists were lawyers, CID or CA. They were handsome and flamboyant. I was falling in love with my characters and it made me close by heart to the star. His follow was the biggest gift this year that too on father's day.

Next proud moment was when I wrote a reader's note for a novel,' Season of Suspense." I thank Admin of that group Aditri (Shilpi) for all the encouragement and inspiration, she gave me.

Well, the work was good. I got hope that next year will be better. I concentrated on prayers and meditation.

"Life is still not easy for me with my love in another part of the country. Ailing parents and at times loneliness made me breathless. My best friend and sibling was snatched away by God and another one stayed in another part of the World."

I loved social media and then Rinky entered my life like a miracle. I remember how I met him after 15 long years. He was my class 8 friend. The news flashed on my mobile that he was unwell through our school reunion group, we were asked to pray for him. I prayed hard for him and I did not have any more strength in me to see that I lose my dear friend.

He was fine soon with the grace of GOD and one fine day he messaged me.

" Will you be interested to talk to me? I don't want to unnecessarily stalk you."

I laughed hard. I instantly replied.

" Yes, I would love to talk to you." I did not know he was the same person who chatted with me on Wattpad on my Kehne ko Humsafar hein story. I was always his inspiration when he took English Literature, in the final year. We both studied in different colleges but we always competed for grades.

Many ask me if I have an affair with him? Excuse me, I don't steal other's husbands. He is a married man and daughter to his princess. I am happy in my spacw.

"It is he who inspired me to take this challenge on story mirror. And I owe him for taking the time and editing my stuff as and when needed. Appreciating my talents and calling me beautiful."

" He is a true friend and I believe a man and woman can be still friends. I have learnt heights of optimism from him and he soon became my client. He has helped me in hard times. Given my assignments and 2019 was ending beautifully. Thank you, Universe for blessings."

Mimi went on and on and finally said:

This year began as usual,

The date is changing,
